"I thought you weren't supposed to wash your vagina?"

You’re right, the Vagina is like a “self cleaning oven.”
However, the Vulva is a different story.

Our gentle, fragrance free cleanser that rejuvenates
and nourishes skin, rinses residue-free and helps support
the pH of your vulva.

When should I use a feminine WaSH?

Post-workout

Using a feminine wash post-workout can help you get rid of sweat and may help prevent bacterial overgrowth.

Pre- and post-intimacy

Wash before intimacy for fresh confidence; wash after to assist in removing potential traces of bodily fluids, lubricants, or contraceptives, helping prevent discomfort, odor, and irritation.

During your menstrual cycle

During menstruation, your vulva can become extremely dry and sensitive. Gently cleansing can help alleviate symptoms of dryness and sensitivity brought on by menstruation, restore moisture, gently cleanse, and balance pH.

A comparison chart shows Medicine Mama creams brown pump bottle and highlights it as clinically tested, fragrance-free, organic, and OBGYN recommended, versus generic products with less substantiation and synthetic ingredients.

Meet the Medicine Mama herself

“We want to provide women with solutions for the changes they experience in their vulvar skin throughout their lifetime. No one should ever feel embarrassed to talk about common vulvar symptoms, such as itching, stinging, or irritation, or feel they need to suffer in silence, when solutions are readily available.”

Questions?

I thought you weren't supposed to wash your vagina?

You are right, the Vagina is like a  "self cleaning oven" and you do not need to wash or cleanse it. However, the Vulva is a different story. If you choose to wash your Vulva (Mons Pubis, Labia Minora, Labia Majora, Clitoris and Vaginal Opening-the external skin) it is best to use a mild, gentle cleanser or warm water alone.

Why can't I use a traditional body wash on my vulva?

Traditional body washes can be full of harsh surfactants and more often than not have added fragrance. Fragrances, even essential oils, can be irritating to delicate vulvar skin and can even disrupt the natural protective biome of this delicate area.

Can the Medicine Mama® Feminine Wash be used other places than the vulva?

Yes, you can use our wash all over the body. Our gentle, fragrance free cleanser can easily replace your daily body wash. With our new 2X size, our wash lasts even longer.

Will this prevent odor? Will this make my vulva smell good?

We have intentionally left out fragrance as it can be disruptive to your natural microbiome. More often than not if you have an odor there is a bigger underlying problem that you should check in with your physician about. A fragranced cleanser can mask a bigger issue.

How does this support my body’s pH?

Our vulva wash is developed specifically to support the pH of your vulva (slightly more acidic than the vagina) and not disrupt it with fragrance or harsh ingredients.
