Don't Be Rash

Many millions of women, men and young children even babies suffer from eczema. In fact it is the most commonly diagnosed dermatological issue. For many people they notice a red or pink, itchy, dry patch of skin and usually call it a 'rash' if this 'rash' is persistent  and chronic and keeps causing discomfort for weeks or even months, we typically consult a dermatologist and most likely the rash will be diagnosed as eczema. Often, the first line of treatment is a topical steroid cream.  Steroid creams will reduce the inflammation and usually clear up the breakout but in many cases the skin will become dependent on the steroid and need stronger and stronger doses and even injections as treatment continues.  In some cases this rash isn't even eczema at all, it can be dermatitis, psoriasis, keratosis, and what all of these conditions have in common is that they can become dependent on steroid use and withdrawal. This is a terribly common and painful cycle which can become very difficult to remedy.

A lot of the research that I have done shows that an anti-inflammatory diet can work wonders at diminishing these rashes at the root of the cause. Or in this case the root of the allergen that's being triggered to cause this inflammation.

We have also had incredibly positive feedback from, eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis sufferers (myself included) that have reported major improvement and relief from dry, itchy, red flaky skin using Medicine Mama's Sweet Bee Magic.

You want a cream or salve to be 100% Zero irritant tested. Stay away from complicated formulas using synthetic fragrance, fillers binders and harsh chemicals that often trigger allergic reactions. 

Here are a list of my favorite anti-inflammatory foods:

Coconut oil
Salmon and fatty fish
Dark leafy greens
Acerola cherry
Green tea
